Denim Skirt Development from Silhouette to Approved Sample
MISEN develops denim skirts from a sample, Tech Pack, drawing, reference image or concept. The first review covers length and silhouette, waist and hip balance, slit and closure, pockets, fabric, finish, branding and quantity.
Length, hip shape, lower opening and any slit determine a skirt's balance and movement. They require skirt-specific measurements and construction references rather than a women's jeans specification.
Length, Silhouette and Fit Inputs
The buyer should provide target length with waist, hip and relevant measurements. Waist position and the relationship between fitted and released areas affect the silhouette. A sample or measurement chart is stronger than terms such as mini, straight or long alone.
Sample comments should identify measurable fit changes and the intended result. The approved size chart and garment specification control bulk production.
The lower opening and hem should support the target silhouette and length. The brief should show the intended shape, edge treatment and any distressing for sample review.
Slit, Closure and Pocket Decisions
A slit changes appearance and movement. Its position, direction and construction should be shown in a drawing, close-up reference or Tech Pack. Closure and component direction should also be established during development.
Pocket shape and placement, yoke or seam direction, visible stitching and hardware should be reviewed against the skirt proportion. Brand elements can then be placed without conflicting with construction.
Labels, patches, branded hardware, hangtags and packaging are covered under Private Label.
Fabric, Wash and Finish Direction
MISEN can source denim according to budget, desired weight, composition, stretch direction, color, hand feel and target market. The fabric should support the intended waist/hip fit and lower silhouette. Specifications are confirmed per style.
Washing and related finishing are coordinated with a partner washing facility in MISEN's supply chain. Buyers can provide a reference garment, image, color target or finish direction. The applicable process and appearance are confirmed for the project. Custom Denim explains the wider product-specification scope.
Sampling and Production
Sampling is approximately 5–10 days after requirements and relevant materials are confirmed. Review covers fit, lower shape, slit, closure, pockets, hem, fabric, wash and branding. Revisions can follow buyer comments; scope and cost are project-specific.
Bulk production is approximately 15–20 days after the relevant sample and specifications are approved, subject to fabric, wash, trims, workmanship, quantity and project conditions. This covers production, not destination delivery.
QC Points for Denim Skirts
MISEN's QC process covers incoming fabric, cut pieces, inline production, post-wash review, 100% finished-garment inspection and pre-shipment inspection. Skirt checks remain tied to approved length and fit measurements, symmetry, lower shape, slit and closure construction, pocket and trim placement, hem, wash and branding. MISEN has three dedicated QC staff. See Quality Control.
MOQ and What to Include in an RFQ
The standard full-custom MOQ is 200 pieces per style and color. Sizes may be mixed within the same color; different colors cannot be combined. Selected simpler styles or trial orders may be discussed from 100 pieces per style after review of fabric, wash, trims, workmanship and customization. Private-label components may have separate supplier minimums.
For a quotation, send the available sample, Tech Pack, drawing or images; size chart and target length; silhouette and waist/hip direction; slit, closure, pocket and hem requirements; fabric, color and wash target; branding; quantity by style and color; and required timing.
Request a quote with the available references. MISEN will review feasibility, development requirements, MOQ and timing before confirmation.
FAQ
Can MISEN start from a reference image instead of a complete Tech Pack?
Yes. A reference image or concept can begin the review, but measurements and construction details must be resolved before bulk approval.
What should be provided for a slit or closure detail?
A drawing, Tech Pack detail or close-up reference should show the intended position, direction and construction. Feasibility is confirmed for the individual style.
Are different colors combined for MOQ?
No. Sizes may be mixed within the same style and color, while each color is treated separately for MOQ.
Who handles washing and finishing?
Washing and related finishing are coordinated with a partner washing facility in MISEN's supply chain according to the approved project direction.
