Denim Jacket Development Around Your Product Brief
MISEN develops denim jackets for apparel brands, wholesalers and professional buyers. A project can begin with a physical sample, Tech Pack, drawing, reference image or product concept. The first review covers jacket shape, construction, fabric and finish, branding and estimated quantity.
A reference image can show visual direction, but development also requires decisions about proportions, seams, closures and component placement. Approved measurements and construction requirements remain the basis for bulk production.
Structure Decisions That Define a Denim Jacket
Body and Sleeve Proportion
The brief should define body length and shape together with sleeve length and proportion. Shoulder, chest, body and sleeve requirements need to work as one garment. An approved jacket with measurements and construction details provides a stronger reference than a style name alone.
Sample feedback should identify measurable changes and visible proportion issues so the pattern can be adjusted before approval.
Collar, Cuff and Hem Construction
Collar shape, cuff construction and the lower hem affect appearance and assembly. The buyer should show the required shape, fastening direction and visible stitching. A drawing or close-up reference can clarify details not covered by a measurement chart.
Pockets, Closures and Hardware
Pocket type, position and opening direction should be defined with the front and back layout. The brief should identify buttons, zippers or other approved closures and hardware. Finish, placement and branding should be reviewed with the sample rather than added after construction approval.
Labels, patches, branded hardware, hangtags and packaging can be coordinated through Private Label.
Fabric, Wash and Interior Finish
MISEN can source denim according to budget, desired weight, composition, stretch direction, color, hand feel and target market. The material should support the intended structure and finish; there is no single specification for every jacket.
Washing and related finishing are coordinated with a partner washing facility in MISEN's supply chain. Buyers can provide a wash reference, color target, image or written finish direction. The applicable process and appearance are confirmed for the project.
Lining or other interior-finish requirements should be identified early because they can affect construction, components and sample review. Feasibility is confirmed against the complete specification.
Sample Approval and Production
Sampling is approximately 5–10 days after requirements and relevant materials are confirmed. Review covers proportion, construction, pockets, closures, hardware, interior finish, wash and branding. Revisions can follow buyer feedback; scope and cost are project-specific.
Bulk production is approximately 15–20 days after the relevant sample and specifications are approved, subject to fabric, wash, trims, workmanship, quantity and project conditions. This covers production, not destination delivery.
Jacket-Specific Quality Checks
MISEN's QC process covers incoming fabric, cut pieces, inline production, post-wash review, 100% finished-garment inspection and pre-shipment inspection. Jacket checks remain tied to approved body and sleeve measurements, seams, pockets, collar/cuff/hem construction, closures, hardware, interior finish, wash and brand components. MISEN has three dedicated QC staff. See Quality Control.
MOQ and What to Send for a Quote
The standard full-custom MOQ is 200 pieces per style and color. Sizes may be mixed within the same color; different colors cannot be combined. Selected simpler styles or trial orders may be discussed from 100 pieces per style after review of fabric, wash, trims, workmanship and customization. Private-label components may have separate supplier minimums.
For a jacket quotation, send the available sample, Tech Pack, drawing or images; measurements; body and sleeve direction; collar, cuff, hem, pocket and closure details; fabric and wash target; interior requirements; branding; quantity by style and color; and required timing.
Request a quote with the information available. MISEN will review feasibility, development work, MOQ and timing before confirmation.
FAQ
What can MISEN use to start a denim jacket project?
A physical sample, Tech Pack, drawing, reference image or product concept can be used. Complete measurements and construction details reduce ambiguity during sampling.
Can lining or interior-finish requirements be developed?
Yes. Include them in the initial brief so MISEN can review their relationship with the jacket construction and components.
How is jacket washing handled?
Washing and related finishing are coordinated with a partner washing facility in MISEN's supply chain according to the approved color and finish direction.
Can sizes and colors be mixed within the MOQ?
Sizes may be mixed within the same style and color. Different colors cannot be combined to meet the per-color MOQ.
